History

The school was officially opened on the first of September 1925 with a roll of 28 pupils.  Since that time the school has survived fires and flooding, resulting in the threat of closure. But through the resilience of the local community, we not only survived, but we are thriving! The last flood was in 2004 when the school was temporarily moved to Highden Manor (Green Road) for three terms while the school was completely refurbished.
