Enrolment

Kopane School is a rural, family friendly school catering for children from Year 1 to Year 8.

If you have pre-schoolers and/or school-age children we would love you to consider enrolling your children at Kopane.   

We would encourage any prospective parents to give us a call and arrange a time to meet with the principal and look around the school.

Enrolment Zone

The guidelines for the development and operation of enrolment schemes are issued under Schedule 20 of the Education and Training Act 2020 for the purpose of describing the basis on which the Secretary’s powers in relation to enrolment schemes will be exercised.

Please note that our school has adopted an enrolment scheme that has been approved by the Secretary for Education.  You can find out more about our enrolment zone below.

Home Zone

All students who live within the home zone described below and shown on the attached map shall be entitled to enrol at the school.

The home zone will include:

• • • • Rongotea Road from, and including, Cole Road and Leen Road to the intersection of Rongotea Road and Aranui Road.

      • Taipo Road from Cole Road, Fairfield Road, Highden Road, Kopane Road, Green Road, Mill Road and River Road.

      • State Highway 3 from Penny Road to the intersection with Oroua Road, and including Stewart Road, and Awahuri-Feilding Road to its intersection with Stewart Road.

      • Palmerston Street, Daltons Road, Rongopai Road and Boness Road.

      • Penny Road from State Highway 3 to Fairfield Road, and including Sutherland Road.

      • Oroua Road, and Lockwood Road to its intersection with Hoihere Road.

* Houses on both sides of the road shall be deemed to be in the home zone.
